Backend Engineer

About the role

Join SecuryxAI's engineering team as a Backend Engineer and build the data pipelines, APIs, and integration layers that power our compliance automation platform. You will work on high-stakes systems where correctness and security are non-negotiable.

What you’ll do

• Build and maintain robust REST APIs for the SecuryxAI platform
• Design data pipelines for evidence ingestion, control mapping, and audit export
• Implement third-party integrations (cloud providers, ITSM tools, identity providers)
• Ensure all org-scoped queries enforce strict multi-tenant isolation
• Own database performance, indexing strategy, and query optimization
• Write thorough integration tests and participate in on-call rotation

What you’ll bring

• 4+ years of backend development experience with TypeScript or Node.js
• Strong PostgreSQL skills including schema design and query optimization
• Experience designing and documenting RESTful APIs
• Solid understanding of authentication, authorization, and data security

Nice to have

• Experience with Prisma ORM and Next.js API routes
• Background in security tooling or compliance automation
• Knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and secure coding practices
